ITINERARY:
DAY 1 DEPART MANILA
Depart Manila to Cairo
DAY 2 ARRIVAL-CAIRO CITY TOUR (X/L/D)
Arrive Cairo airport; you’ll be met by tours representative who will assist you, and with your guide and driver who will be with you for the tour. Proceed CAIRO CITY TOUR, ST. SIMON THE TANNER CHURCH, NILE CRUISE (DINNER) and the proceed to your hotel. Overnight at hotel.
DAY 3 CAIRO FULL DAY TOUR (B/L/D)
Breakfast at hotel. This morning, start your tour at the Egyptian Museum of Antiquities, housing the gold treasures of King Tutankhamen. See a wonder of the ancient world, the Pyramids of Giza and the nearby Sphinx. Continue to Hanging Church dating to the late part 4th and early 5th Century. This Basilica was built on the top of the south gate of the Fortress of Babylon. Then visit Church of Abu Sergah, built on the cave in which the Holy Family stayed and is regarded by visitors as a source of blessing. Return to your hotel for overnight.
DAY 4 CAIRO – MOSES’ SPRING – ST CATHERINE (B/L/D)
Breakfast at hotel. After breakfast, we will go for Glass Boat Ride on the Red Sea. Then take a long journey travelling to St Catherine Monastery passing by Moses’ Sping. Check in Hotel and overnight in Taba.
DAY 5 TABA – ISRAEL – DEAD SEA (B/L/D)
After breakfast, we will drive to the Taba border. Cross border to Israel. After border formalities, meet your Israeli guide. Drive through Arava and the Dead sea. Check in hotel for overnight.
DAY 6 JERICHO-DEAD SEA-QUMRAM (B/L/D)
After breakfast, drive south. Visit Bethany, the birth place of Lazarus. Then we go to Qaser al Yahoud, the original site of Baptism. Pass by Jericho, the oldest city in the world for overview. Observe Mt of Temptation. Continue south to the Dead Sea, the lowest place on Earth. Visit Qumran, where the Dead Sea scrolls were discovered. Enjoy the float in the Dead Sea.
DAY 7 MT OLIVES-OLD CITY OF JERUSALEM (B/L/D)
After breakfast, Drive to Mt. of Olives for our panoramic view of the Old and New Jerusalem. Visit the Church of Ascension and the PATER NOSTER Church where Jesus taught the “Our Father” written in many languages. We shall start with our Procession along the Palm Sunday Road all the way to Dominus Flevit where Jesus saw the destruction of Jerusalem. Continue to the Garden of Gethsemane and the Church of All Nations, the place which houses the rock where Jesus wept during His agony. Proceed to the old city and see the Pool of Bethesda where Jesus healed a paralytic man. See the Church of St. Anne, the Dome of the Rock and the Wailing Wall, the most sacred place for the Jews. Follow the Stations of the Cross in VIA DOLOROSA, from the Chapel of Flagellation to the Church of the Holy Sepulcher, where we can find the last station. Here we will meditate and have our spiritual sharing. Dinner and Overnight.
DAY 8 MT ZION-JERUSALEM-BETHLEHEM (B/L/D)
After breakfast, proceed to Mt. Zion and visit the tomb of David and the Dormition Abbey, the same abbey believed to be the place of Virgin Mary’s assumption to heaven and finally at the Room of the Last Supper where the Holy Spirit descended among the Apostles. Visit also the Church of St. Peter of Gallicantu, which was built on the house of Caiphas where Jesus was tried and denied three times. Drive to Bethlehem passing on the way, Rachel’s tomb and the Shepherd’s field. Visit the Church of Nativity and St. Catherine’s Church.
DAY 9 EMMAUS (B/L/D)
After Breakfast we will Visit Emmaus. visit Ein Karem and see the church of St. John the Baptist and the Visitation Church or Church of the Magnificent, where the Virgin Mary visited her cousin Elizabeth.
DAY 10 NAZARETH – CANA – SEA OF GALILEE (B/L/D)
After Breakfast we will Visit NAZARETH the city of Jesus’ childhood and youth; Visit the Church of Annunciation. Drive on to the village of CANA and visit the church. Do a mass at Cana Wedding renewal. Then proceed for boat ride at the Sea of Galilee. Proceed to Capernaum. On to Tabgha and visit the Church of the Primacy of St. Peter and the Church of multiplication of loaves and fishes. Continue to Mt. of Beatitudes. Return to hotel for dinner and overnight at hotel in Tiberias.
DAY 11 TIBERIAS – AMMAN (B/L/D)
Check out of hotel. Proceed to Mt. Tabor to visit the Church of the Transfiguration. Cross border into Jordan. Continue to Madaba, land of fruit and water where you can see the first Holyland Map. Continue to Mt. Nebo, believed to be the burial site of Moses. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.
DAY 12 PETRA FULL DAY (B/L/D)
Today, you will visit the fabled “Red Rose City” of Petra, the 2000 year old Nabatean capital, now one of the world’s wonders. Take a horse ride to the Siq. Then walk to the Treasury, a rose colored monumental building artfully carved out of sheer rock. Visit the other temples and tombscarved into the mountainside. Return to your hotel for dinner and overnight.
DAY 13 AMMAN CITY TOUR – DEPARTURE (B/L/X)
Breakfast at Hotel. Enjoy Amman City Tour. Transfer to the airport for you flight back home.
